Presentation by: Dr. Anneke Feberwee, DVM, PhD, EBVS® European Specialist in Poultry Veterinary Science

Dr. Anneke Feberwee obtained a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree at Utrecht University in 1992 and in 2006 she finished her PhD thesis entitled: ‘Detection and epidemiology of M. gallisepticum and M. synoviae. In 2009 she became De facto recognized Specialist in Poultry Veterinary Science appointed by the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science. She has been employed at Royal GD in Deventer from 1996 until present and working on the area of diagnostic Field and Disease Control and as a scientist dedicated to applied research with a focus on avian mycoplasmas.

​​​​​​​In 2011 she received the Bart Rispens Memorial Award for the paper titled: “Induction of eggshell apex abnormalities by Mycoplasma synoviae: field and experimental studies" and was coauthor of the Bart Rispens award winning article in 2017. In 2021 she was appointed as team leader of the Avian Mycoplasma Working Team of the International Organization of Mycoplasmology (IOM).
